Re: Change existing mobile number
If you have had your current number for more than 12 months just order a new sim when logged into your account (don't accidentally order a replacement). It will come with a new (but almost certainly recycled) number. When its activated call Sky on 150 to cancel the old number.
Otherwise Sky won't change it unless you're receiving threats etc which have been reported to the police and you have a police reference number.

Re: Change existing mobile number
If you want a new number then you will have to call Sky on 150 to ask them to cancel your current sim and they can only do this if you have been paying for it for 12 months or more. Then ask them to order you a new sim that will come with a different number.

Re: Change existing mobile number
@stabby2 If it's just the number you want changing then ring Sky. If you want to change your number because you're getting abusive calls etc, then most companies will do it for free (regardless how long you've had it).
If you just fancy a new number, then they'll charge you for it.
I had a brand new contract a bit back and the "new" number I was given was one that had been put back into circulation. Everything I tried registering the number with (all my banking stuff etc) were linked to someone else. So I'd have had to tell each individual company about it and I wasn't going to do that.
I've also had it changed because of nuisance calls for free.

Our understanding is Sky won't change it for just abusive calls

Again, unless you've had it 12+ months you can't change it

There are very very few new numbers, if any. All numbers are recycled. I got my number in 2018 and gave it to a relative who already had it in his contacts list as a contact from the local council.

Again that isn't something Sky will do. If they did thousands of people would be asking to change their number daily. There simply aren't the numbers.

@Daniel0210 Well either your "understanding" is wrong, or I must be extra special then. Or are you calling me a liar? 🙄
