Catch 22: 2SV fail to get a replacement eSIM

After about 18 months, my eSIM stopped working. No data, no signal - nada. I have trouble-shooted to the 9th degree, trust me!

  • No servise issues reported in my area. Additionally, it didn't work on roaming either.
  • Restarted the devise
  • Toggled Airplane Mode
  • Reset mobile network settings
  • Turned off adaptive connectivity

I even checked for a Google Play Store update because I heard there was a bug.

"But how do you know it's not your phone?" Well, this happeed a week ago before I went on holiday. While abroad, I bought a holiday eSIM from another provider and that worked just fine. For data, I'm currently using a prepaid UK sim from the same provider. Mind you, this is not an expense I think I should have to pay when I'm already paying Sky for coverage.

So, the solution - I need a replacement eSIM. The problem - in order to get a new esim from Sky, I need to pass 2-Factor-Auth which involves texting a code to my sky number. But, of course, that doesn't come through because my eSim isn't working

I'd be very grateful if anyone could provide any help or show me how to get through to an imployee. So far, the AI assistant has been less than helpful.

Thank you all

@BridieF

Would the text come through if you turned on WiFi calling on your phone if you are able to ?
