Cancelled my sim

I cancelled my sim and don't want to continue with the monthly subscription fee. But my next bill is still saying I'll pay for the monthly data subscription which is confusing. Can anyone help

Did you call Sky to cancel the sim (which you can only do if you have been paying for it for a year or more) and if so when did you do this as the bill will have been created 14 days prior to the billing date so you would see a charge on it if this is the case but the first bill after it has been cancelled so see a credit for any overpayment.

I cancelled it 4th of this month and I was allowed to cancel because I have been using sky account for more than a year and so didn't need to wait for the sim to get up to a year and wasn't charged for early cancellation. Also I did it myself I didn't call sky maybe I should call them.

What date is the bill due to be paid on ?

Next month 2nd. That's why I have been waiting to see maybe they wouldn't take the payment. Not sure

Was the 4th the day you called Sky to cancel it or the day it was actually cancelled ?

I didn't call them I did it on my app my sky account there is an option there where it says to cancel. And I did it 4th and they sent me a code for if I wanted to keep my number I think don't remember. But I didn't actually need the number either so I didn't really check. But yeah I did it 4th not sure when it's officially got cancelled as I didn't get email for that.

Calling is the best you can do as they should be able to check what the status of the cancellation is.

Hi @Fran65  you can't cancel it in the app, you can arrange to swap it to another network or STAC the number if you don't want to keep the number but that still involves giving the STAC code to another network. You will need to call sky to cancel the sim.
