Cancelled bill pay transaction

Hello,

On the 2nd of May 2026 I subscribed to a Sky mobile bill pay for an iPhone 16. This transaction was cancelled by Sky which I received an email about on the same day as purchase. The total for this subscription was €180 which I have not gotten back yet. My payment method was my own Revolut. I'm enquiring about this because the email said the order was cancelled and I could be due a refund but I have not received the payment back yet.

@Conor141  The order was cancelled on a weekend, it's is only Tuesday you wont see a refund this quickly, you'll need to wait a few days as the payment you made may still show as pending on your bank account.

Also in the UK yesterday was also a Public Holiday.

@Conor141
It’s likely you failed one of the required credit check(s). For a sim deal it’s just a soft credit check, for a device there’s also an enhanced check. See this link for Skys guidance ~

Be aware that if you keep trying to order the device this could further impact your credit score. If you contact Sky they would be able to confirm that’s the reason your order was cancelled but not why you failed the credit check in the first place as they are not allowed to view your credit record. You would have to sign up to a credit reference agency like Experian or Equifax, which would give you access to your credit record.

Also perhaps check that Sky have the correct spelling of your name.

Any upfront payment you’ve made should be refunded after about 14 days but recent posts suggest it’s taking a bit longer in which case you’ll need to contact Sky Ireland (as you mention Euros) to chase it up.
