Can't Sign Credit Agreement

Like seemingly every Sky Mobile customer, I have had issues today with signing my contract agreement. Here is all the info I have:

I tried to sign up for a contract, but at the last stage, my saved bank details on my phone were incorrect and I hadn't realised (month was off), so it declined my payment. No bother - changed the details, made sure they were all correct, and 3 further times it continued to say they were wrong (I deleted everything and copied and pasted them from the app so I know they were correct). I then just started getting technical errors (from their side apparently) every time I tried to buy the phone, at varying stages. Typically, this would come up near the end, so I'm a little concerned about how many credit checks they may have run for the same attempt at getting just this one phone.

I tried clearing all my cache and history, using a different browser, completely signing out of the account it got me to create - absolutely nothing worked and I wasted well over an hour doing this. When it still didn't work, I tried to call (closed so I didn't get through), and eventually had to go through the virtual chat with an adviser. They said it was all great, everything went through, my payment shows on my bank account etc. which looks good, I just need to sign the contract. At this point, it's passed 8:30, so the person just closes the chat once they think everything is done without waiting for my confirmation that I had no further questions.

I go to try and sign the contract using the link in my email - it just takes me to the home page. I think maybe my Sky ID is wrong - it is not. Everytime I try to sort the SKY ID it says it's already linked, even though on my app it says there's still stuff that needs doing. I have tried using the link from the HELP section, I have tried using the link from Google, and from my email, and nothing is working. I tried seeing if I could do it through my messages but it says I have restricted access?? so I can't even see my messages. I can't see my details (when I go to the my details section it just brings me to a blank page) to check if anything's wrong, I tried changing my email address in case it was linked to something else, but nothing seems to be working. I'm pretty frustrated as this has taken up my entire evening (I started trying to sort it around 6:30pm) and all I wanted was for my phone to arrive while I'm off work tomorrow.

I have looked through the other posts here but they all just say to call - is there literally anything else I can do to try and resolve this? Or do I have to sit on the phone to someone for ages tomorrow? Am I better just cancelling it and going elsewhere?

TIA.

@sunfloweralex

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.

This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
This isn't a live chat so replies may not be instant.

Re: Can't Sign Credit Agreement

I won't lie I've spent all day getting no help from the person chatting to me, and even though I explained in detail exactly what I had done, including all the things I'd tried to resolve the issue, they still couldn't help (and made me wait hours between replies), so I've requested to cancel and gone to O2 instead. They replied to my request to cancel just with a message saying they were sorry I was considering cancelling and then asking me if I'd tried something else I already said I'd tried, so I've messaged again and hopefully tomorrow they will cancel it all like I've asked. Sorry I know this isn't the news you likely want (it wasn't what I did either) 😅 best of luck!x

Re: Can't Sign Credit Agreement

Is there no way to speak to an actual person. The link sent to me in the chat behaves the exact same way and does not work
