Black screen

Every few days my wife's I phone 16 pro max gets the black screen of death. We only brought the device on contract from sky in August just gone. When the phone works it works well yet every few days the screen goes black and we have to do a hard reset to get the screen to come back. Any ideas if this is a apple product fault or if I have any rights to ask for a replacement handset as seems off that a 5 month old phone has to be reset every few days ? Any help appreciated

If you have an Apple Store close by it might be worth you popping in there.

It's under warranty so the retailer has obligations to repair or replace.  As it's less than 6 months old it is assumed the fault was there from new unless the retailer can show otherwise (such as water damage inside).

 

The repair process has been given but you are not entitled to any loan phone whilst it's being investigated.  It can take many weeks.

 

Worth trying direct to Apple as above.

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers
