Being charged for free gift?

I took out a samsung s24 in August and as part could claim a chromebook I have looked at my bill and am being charged £11 a month for it?

Maybe I was an idiot but I thought it was a free gift when I took out the phone like I have done previously!

I wasn't even that bothered about the chromebook and there was nothing about it being £11 a month!

If you bought it then you will be charged for it.  The offer usually requires you to claim direct from Samsung or they send it later after the cooling off period has expired.

if you are still within your cooling off period you can return it.

If you claimed it via Samsung then I don't see how Sky are charging you for it?

These offers don't all work the same, for some you have to add the gift to the basket as well which appears to be what you have done but for others you don't as you then claim directly via the likes of Samsung which is what you should have done. The website will have explained what you needed to have done as per this:

Re: Being charged for free gift?

Well I'm not lying?

I don't know either. I've only just got the chromebook today which I claimed through the samsung page. But when I checked my bill today I've been being billed since I bought the phone for a chromebook that I didn't buy and don't have?

No one is suggesting you are lying.

The most obvious explanation is you added to your basket when ordering.   (And claimed one from Samsung)

But if you didn't you'll need to call Sky (on 150) to see what's going on - we can't see your account as we're other customers here.

Re: Being charged for free gift?

I got the phone back begining of august

I never added anything else to my basket.

I got the chrome book through the Samsung website which I have only just got - a month and a half later as I know you wait for cooling off period etc. I don't have any other chromebook. And I've been being charged for it since I got the phone back in August

Nobody is saying you are but you failed to mention in your opening post that you had claimed it via the Samsung offer so it makes no sense as to how Sky are charging you as it is nothing to do with them.

I think you need to call Sky on 150 about this as something doesn't add up here.

the £11 is definitely for the Chromebook?  (And not your dataplan?)
