Back order?

I am missing an item from my sky mobile order. The item i showing as "on back order" what does this mean?

It means they are awaiting stock.

They can not show an estimated time as it might be they are not sure when the stock is coming into them from the supplier.

As customers we have no insider knowledge regarding stock levels or delivery timescales and I doubt the Customer Service agents know anything extra.
