Albanian data roaming charges when in Greece!

I have had an additional £200 added to my bill for data roaming charges when I was in Corfu, the charges are because my phone connected to Albania one day.

Up until now, Sky are refusing to reimburse me as they say I should have had my spending cap on. Surely I shouldn't have to pay these charges?

You incurred the charges, Sky are under no obligation to refund you.  If you didn't have a spend cap on then I'm afraid your liable for all & any charges if you connect to a country not in the roaming plan.

The spend cap is there to prevent such charges.

So it seems. I really had no idea that I needed to see a spending cap. Really would have appreciated some kind of warning from sky, even a text message when I arrived in corfu to warn me of this.

I can't see the detailed info about Corfu?

I did check with sky prior to travelling and they said Roaming Passport Plus would cover me for £2 per day. This can't be uncommon when in north Corfu surely.

Well, I'll wait for Sky's response but I will defo be more careful in future.

It's a common mistake to pick up an Albanian mast. I'm afraid Sky aren't likely to reimburse you. See this link, in particular accidental roaming' near the bottom...
