AGE RESTRICTION

after having my sky mobile for over 6 months theyve now decided to impose an age restriction that was not present previously and was not asked for. The only way i seem to be able to remove this is to enter credit card details. I do not have any credit cards and it wont accept my debit card! any ideas that dont involve sitting on hold to customer services for ever??

so frustrating as you have to be over 18 to have the contract in the first place so why have i now got a restriction!! grrrr

Only a credit card will suffice (not a debit card). You can borrow a credit card if you haven't got one yourself, it doesn't have to be yours. The only other way is if you have signed a credit agreement with Sky, then they will already know you are 18 or over so if you call them on 150 they can deactivate this for you.

If and when you are connected to a Wi-Fi network then this will not be an issue as this will only happen when using mobile data.

Re: AGE RESTRICTION

which just adds to the ridiculosness when you think about it seeing as both wifi and mobile are on same package and in same name! so frustrating

But Sky don't know it's an adult using that particular sim. It could be being used by a minor, so Sky would need to talk to you (the account holder).

Your WiFi will have its own age restrictions @Lindo1 set up and your mobile ones are totally separate.
