4g not working

Son is unable to connect to the internet when he is out 4g doesnt work hes having to connect to my phone to use the internet

Is his phone 5G capable and if so as long as you have activated the 5G add on here, does this work for him:

Hi @Gwen131  also check the correct APN settings are stored in the phone and his mobile data is turned on.
