3g switch off. New device or new sim?

I understand  3g getting switched off.  Do I need to upgrade my phone or just get a new sim

Neither, Sky Sims support 5G, 4G, 3G & 2G by default, switching off 3G will still leave you with 4G.

If your phone supports 5G or 4G/LTE you don't need a new device, check your phones settings menu for this.

Like you I'm a customer here, Sky Employees are clearly identified as such.

What phone do you have?

I am just another Sky customer and my views are my own even if you don't like the answers

@BR16

You might well have an issue if the handset is truly antique: say iPhone 5 and Samsung Galaxy 5 or below.  Realistically almost no such hardware is still in use because that's going back more than a decade.
