I have recently returned to sky and since I have sky go will not work.
We have sky stream & sky broadband.
I continually get the error message "to enjoy this service please upgrade your subscription"
I have followed all the suggested help articles of logging out and updating the app which has not worked.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Are you using your previous Sky ID to
ligin to the app with or have you setup a new one ?

Returned after 2 years away, signed on using same email address the only one associated with sky.

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreThen that is your issue as that account (not the email address) will have been closed so you will need to setup a new Sky ID to use to login to the app.
So logout of the app via settings.
If you want to use the same email address then you need to first remove it from the old account first so log into the old account here:
https://www.sky.com/myaccount/my-details
Then delete the email address by providing another one and logout of this account, this will then free it up to use when setting up your new Sky ID:
https://www.sky.com/help/diagnostics/sky-id/sky-id
Now login to the app with the new ID you have created.
