Re: how do watch Sky go on linux
you could try an android emulator or run windows under emulation but there is no native way to run Sky Go
I have to use my xbox as my Debian PC is a no go

Despite the strong opinion of some Penguin fans, there's not actually an obligation for anyone to provide a Linux version of their app.
Maybe next year ; )

My last foray was running a captive portal on a guest wireless network, and that was a while ago.
I'm kind of tempted to build my own Steam Machine though.

@David_Liye_Moor This is one of the many reasons why Linux isn't good for most things IMO.
You're better off with a Windows 11 PC, as I discovered last year.

Linux is extremely good at the things it's good at: the world we know now absolutely wouldn't be spinning without it (not to mention several billion Android smartphones running a Linux kernel)
What it (still) isn't great at is offering a realistic alternative to the Microsoft/Apple duopoly as a PC operating system for most people, but frankly that's never going to happen anyway.

Re: how do watch Sky go on linux
I've tried Linux but with all of the terminal stuff it's far too complicated for my tastes , if they made it just click and go like Windows then it would be fine . I can't be doing with the faff ....

Yes but to install quite a lot of programs you have to type unintelligible gibberish into the terminal just to get them working and that's a complete no no for me ...

???
What like:
sudo apt install <app name>
Or use the built-in package manager similar to windows/MacOs!
It takes no time at all to learn the terminal and in lots of cases it is much more powerful than using a GUI

Re: how do watch Sky go on linux
When I left School in 1972 we were still using mechanical calculators as the electronic version hadn't been invented yet and I was 34 years old when the first home computers started appearing , and I couldn't afford one until I was in my 40's . So you see I had no Computer education , if it isn't point and click then it isn't for me and I'm not going to change my ways in my 70's .
