I have a sky sub as you'd expect.
Sky go on iPhone - tick
Sky go on iPad - tick
Sky go on Apple TV - nope you need a multi-room!!!!
How on earth does this make any sense at all. Just a pathetic money grab that makes no sense.
If I need a multi-room then call it MULTI ROOM and not Sky go.
Idiots

Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreBecause the basic tier of Sky Go is designed for use on the "Go". When wanting to use it on a device that connects to a TV, Sky treat it like an additional sky device you would get as part of Mulitroom, hence the reason that to use it on a games console or Apple TV you need Multiroom or Sky Go Extra.

You must have a huge backpack if you can use an apple TV + TV on the go
99.99999% of apple TV uses will have there setup fix in a room, hence the need or multiscreen, it's not been called multiroom for years AFAIK
