Sky go on OS X not working

Im aware of the older threads relating to this howver I have just set a new older macbook pro. M1 max, the OS is up to date and i am trying to install the last uploaded installer from August 2nd and it wont install at all. I can see it in Terminal and it just says that it cant install on my machine. Is this still being worked on? I didnt have it previously installed so no need to troubleshoot the delete and re install method. it just flat out wont install to my machine
