Sky go app not working with Sky Essentials package

We have Sky Essentials TV but we can only watch Sky News on the Sky Go app. We had basic tv package with Virgin Media for years and always had access to the app.

We always though Sky was a better service but being passed between three different people who didn't seem to know anything about Sky products I don't know what to do.

can womeone please help me.

@AnnaW4 You should be able to access the same channels on Sky Go that you have in your Essentials package. 

 

Maybe this is something a superuser can escalate to the online support for their help?

To get you some help with this I have escalated your post to the Sky Messaging team who should be in touch with you regarding this via a blue/red chat bubble which will appear at the bottom of this page. It can take up to a few hours to be contacted via this.


This link explains how this works so you will need to respond to the chat bubble at the bottom of the page when it appears by typing it it to start the chat:

When the chat bubble does appear you will need to respond to it as soon as you can or it will be closed if there is no response within 48 hours. To start the conversation just type in it.
This isn't a live chat so replies may not be instant.

I have the same issue - when i contacted sky they told me i needed to upgrade to the ultimate package.  Has anyone had any further update on this? Were you able to get Sky Go to work while only on the Sky Essentials pack?
