Hi, I’m having a problem with Sky Go on my Windows 11 laptop.
Sky Go version: 26.2.3.0
Windows: Windows 11 Home, version 25H2
OS build: 26200.7462
System: 64-bit Windows, x64-based processor.
Sky Go installs successfully and launches, but after selecting my cookie preferences it closes automatically after approximately 6–8 seconds.
Windows Event Viewer records:
- Faulting application: Sky Go.exe
- Exception code: 0xc0000005
- Fault offset: 0x00000000
I have already:
- Reinstalled Sky Go from a fresh download.
- Cleared/renamed the Sky Go user-data folder so it created a fresh profile.
- Confirmed the crash still occurs.
- Tried running Sky Go without administrator privileges; this changed the behaviour slightly (it displayed a blue Sky screen for about 10 seconds before closing) but did not resolve the problem.
- Confirmed the laptop is x64, not ARM.
- Checked Windows Security and Event Viewer.
The Sky Go executable is located at:
C:\Users[username]\AppData\Roaming\Sky\Sky Go\Sky Go.exe
Is there a known issue with Sky Go 26.2.3.0 and Windows 11 25H2/build 26200.7462, and is there a fix?
