Sky Go app identifying Windows Snipping Tool as a screen capture tool and stopping the stream

For some reason, the Sky Go app appears to see the Windows Snipping Tool as a video capture device and kills the stream if you open it. This has been a problem for at least a couple of years, but I have only just started using the app again (thanks IPL!) and so am only reporting it now. The Snipping Tool is built into Windows and lets you take a screenshot of an area and save it as a file. The same functionality can be achieved by just hitting the Print Screen button and then cropping the image in Paint. Using Print Screen doesn't cause a problem, so this would seem to be a misclassification of the tool. I can understand why you would want to stop proper video capture devices, but this feels arbitrary, especially given that you can do exactly the same using the Print Screen button. This is actually what I have resorted to doing so that my viewing is not interrupted, but I would rather use the proper tool!

Not the biggest problem in the world, admittedly, but one that is really annoying, at least to me! Can you pass this on to your dev team and let them know there is a cricket fan who would appreciate it if they could fix this?

I know how to shut the software down, I am saying that it shouldn't be on the list as it is not video capture software. I have explained that in the post...

Anything that can capture images as well as video is usually on that list, close it down and Sky Go should work.

Better to just close Sky Go and move on. This is the most annoying thing. I've used this app successfully for a number of years not and you shove this stupid error message at me an tell me I have to Ctrl-Alt-Delete an app that's not even active. Absolutly not. Uninstalling this, and will think about reinstalling it only when you have actually fixed the problem instead of telling me it's my problem and to end an app that's not even active. Shame on you for your lack of proper service.

Agreed

My only screen capture software was snipping tool in wndows 11. CLosed it and still doesn't work. Not my problem so won't be using.
Anothe reason not to use sky.... they're building up..!
