Re: Sky Go Error

If you don't have KB5101684 installed, check what was installed in update history just before Skygo started failing and uninstall that.

Re: Sky Go Error

Very little progress, Sky suggest Ispeak to Microsoft, and Microsoft the opposite......ive asked both the respond tomorrow.

Ive asked Microsoft the simple question: Is it correct that the upgrade KB121767 (26200,8894) is potentially the cause of the error to SkyGo (as the download was only necessary for Dell equipment), and can, and if so how can it be installed, when the file doesnt seem to be listed in the list of uninstable upgrades.

@RFS123  out of interest, as you were able to uninstall your upgrade what type of PC/Laptop have you got? Just wondering if different makes had different upgrades (mines a HP ......suspect download was on 18/7/26).

Re: Sky Go Error

@Amazin+Port Hi - I had the problem on 3 PCs - a Dell Laptop (which is not one of the affected ones) and 2 standard Windows 11 desktops. I have reverted them alll now to this level -

Edition Windows 11 Home
Version 25H2
Installed on ‎18/‎09/‎2025
OS build 26200.8894

All had the problem (started last night) but are now working fine.

Level 8894 is the Dell update: the update I regressed was level 8968 which was issued on Monday and is an optional preview update. So I am essentially still fully up to date.

Re: Sky Go Error

This is my install  history

Level 8875 is last Tuesday's monthly patch.  8894 is the Dell patch.  The problem arose for me yesterday when I installed 8968 preview patch.  Removing that has fixed the issue and I'm back on 8894.

@Quantumninja

Can you post what level of Windows you are on?  It's in settings -> about and at the bottom of the page.

Something else to try is to go to skyid.sky.com/signin/skycomlinked and enter details when it asks for your postcode. Account info will then be activated so try Sky Go again.

Re: Sky Go Error

@microcat36    Try uninstalling 8894.  That should take you back to last Tuesday's 8875.  Untick the box in Windows Update saying get me up to date as soon as possible. This should stop preview updates being installed unless you specifically check for updates. You could also pause updates for a couple of weeks just to make sure it does not come back on.
