You  also need to uninstall Skygo and re-install it for the complete fix.

downloaded windows update ...............rebooted.............uninstalled sky go.......rebooted......reinstalled  Sky go ....rebooted. all ok have watched sky go for the last two hours           Big thanks to all that helped me

I have been having error c0000045 Sky Go Failed to Start Error with Skey Go Version 26.2.2.0 for a week.

Uninstalled Sky Go and waited for either a Window s 11 Current Channel Preview update or Sky Go update.

A new Window 11 Current Channel Preview update was released today: - Preview Update (KB5101684) (26200.8973)

I installed Latest Preview update and then installed Sky GO version 26.2.2.0, the version that was failing to start, and it now starts correctly.

Noted several have found he same.

Thus should resolve the issue for All Sky Go Windows 11 users.

It is important to have uninstalled the Sky Go App behore installuing Windows 11 Preview Update (KB5101684) (26200.8973).

I didn't uninstall the app or any updates. I just downloaded the new update, ran the Sky Go installer, and reinstalled it right over the old version. It’s working fine for me now!

Perhaps I am lucky? I just deleted the original app went to Sky website * downloaded the app again - works fine now!?

@Toniee24 , not lucky, more a beneficiary of those that got frustrated (and even lost money) due to Sky's POOR initial response (Technical and Community Team's didnt take: responsibility quickly or frequently enough). IMO

Well after all of that 4 resets and a lot of guess work it has been fixed thank god I wanna say thank you to everyone who took part in this bouncing ideas around to get it back up and running we will know what happens in future a learning curve I guess.

it is BACK YAY finally good work to whoever repaired it in the background and big shout out to @RFS123 for all of the work you put into solving this it is apprieciated @Amazin+Port @senec we can finally rest easy think I'm gonna watch a movie ha ha ha @Amazin+Port hope this has helped your mother man I can only imagine its been hard.

Done all the updates and instructions sky go still.not working it's says this version not compatible with windows 6 even though I downloaded from sky site so frustrated

This whole topic was about another error so for you one try this:

Right click on the Sky Go desktop Icon

Go into Properties, then Compatibilities, and uncheck Compatibility Mode and then Apply.

Can't see compatibility mode when I clicked on compatibility 😔😔 on windows 11 so I ran compatibility troubleshooting to no avail

I recommend a virus scan then if you are having issues is your computer up to date with the latest patches?

@Quantumninja .....cheers, and I hope your fixes are ever permenant. Well, I never actually got the fix and had to buy another Laptop (due to the Sky/Microsoft combo)......mums happy about it, my bank manager isnt.

I have written a scathing feedback complaint, highlighting, amongst others, issues with the Agents, not taking responsibility for problems (rather trying to find 'quick fixes' and/or relying on the 'Community' model)........NB SKY......a simple acknowledgement (it took 3 days for the Community Team to post any official recognition), with a proposed timescaled update (good or Bad) would go a long way.
