No casting button on sky go app

I'm using the sky go app on my pixel 7 but there is no option to cast to my Chromecast with Google TV. I've done all the obvious checks, same network, everything up to date, uninstalled and reinstalled the app etc etc. The button just doesn't appear. Cast works fine on other apps and Google searches suggest it should be possible to cast from sky go. Can anyone help with this please?

Google is incorrect as it has never been possible to cast via the Sky Go app but you can via the Sky Store app.

A good example of how the Google AI response now typically appearing ahead of other results shouldn't be trusted without further research.

In this case, the AI appears to have picked up correct information regarding Sky Go from Sky Network Television Ltd in New Zealand, but this does not apply to the much more common Sky Go from Sky Group (a division of the Comcast Corporation) - note the subtly different logo above the image of the Chromecast dongle.

Sky NZ permits casting from their app, while Sky UK (an entirely different company with some confusingly similar product names) does not.
