Multi screen and Sky Go

I've had Sky for 11 years. I have Sky Q and I have multiscreen. I am a little concerned as I feel I may of been overpaying for something I don't need. We have one TV and my husband likes to watch Sky on his iPad when he goes to bed. He will watch more or less anything till he falls asleep. On the couple of occasions I've spoken to Sky( when renewing) and  I've explained that my hubby uses his iPad to watch Sky and I've been told I need multiscreen, yet today a friend has told me I don't. I can just use Sky go. Who is correct? I'm going to be very upset if I find out I've spent all that money over the years for something I don't need

As far as I know, the Multiscreen sub gives you the ability to watch the Recordings on the Q Box via Sky Go, but without the sub you can still use Sky Go to watch live TV.
