Installing Sky Go - Problems

Got a new laptop - Samsung Galaxy Book4 Edge.

Snapdragon(R) X Plus - X1P42100 - Qualcomm(R) Oryon(TM) CPU (3.24 GHz)
16.0 GB RAM (15.6 GB usable)
Windows 11 Pro,  fully up to date

So more than capable of running Sky Go,

Every time I try and install Sky Go, it jams on 'downloading update'.

Have removed ot over and over again, including in the hidden files such as Roaming, AppData etc etc,  turned off all firewall and antivirus and ity makes absolutely no difference at all.

Have tried all the other workarounds on here (which in reality we shouldn't have to try, Netflix, iPlayer, Prime etc etc don't suffer this nonsense).

Been trying for 4 days now and getting nowhere.  Looking at the sheer scale of complaints about trying to install or update Sky Go, it's clear this is a technical problem at their end that's been ongoing for several years, and they can't be bothered to sort it out properly or lack the talent to do so. (I used to work in the database of a major shipping company)

Anyone got a contact number to speak to their tech teams directly?

I'm not sure what kind of reponse you will get but there is an email address you can use to contact Sky's app team - apps@sky.uk

Re: Installing Sky Go - Problems

Thanks for that.  The response was shockingly poor, showed a total lack of understanding of the product or how it works, and even tried to get me to use a link that required me to allow Microsoft to stop letting me use a password and switch to a passkey (which ultimately didn't work anyway).
