Frustration

Yesterday my sky go stopped working couldn't watch anything foolishil rung tech support. Was told my free 3 month trial had ended if I wanted to continue I would have to pay £8 I declined her offer and explained it's free if you have sky subscription, she informed me it wasn't finally got her to check and she then agreed.

Deleted app reinstalled signed back in as advised everything fantastic. I receive an email saying thanks for changing your package it will be extra £5 so I ring back and explain I never asked for sky go extra and wasn't prepared to pay for it, I also explained I Keep getting error messages saying too many devices I have one device with sky go that's it. Agent assured me he would rectify it no problem again reinstalled app signed back in and it worked but I couldn't download anything so rang back again spoke to 3 different tech support sky go "experts" last one said he had reset everything and it could take up to 3 hours tried it again this morning couldn't watch anything unless I sign out of the app then resign in.

stupidly I spoke to somebody again this afternoon who just didn't listen to me and said but you've upgraded it will take time for it to cancel and I must pay again for the 3 time in that conversation I explained the lady had done it when I told her I didn't want to.!,

Decided to hang up as didn't want to be rude let myself calm down a bit and just spoke to another agent who has told me you can only get sky go IF you have multi room subscription I explained to him no that is sky go extra not normal sky go.......

my sky go only works if I open the app sign ou sign back in again still keep getting the error message please somebody help meeeeeeeeee

Lets start from the beginning, what device do you have the Sky Go app installed on ?

My iPad latest software was working fine in the morning them just stopped

So what is actually happening when you go to use the Sky Go app, any error message and if so what does it say ?

Please check that you're subscribed to this channel, that you're not streaming on the maximum number of devices.

Head to the TV tab in the MySky app to upgrade your subscription or visit sky.com/hub/tv. Error code: 50-2

Go to Settings > Sky Go > Location and turn off Precise Location off.


If you use a VPN make sure this is turned off.

strangely it doesn't give me that option just gives me the options of

Apple intelligence and Siri

search

notifications

background app refresh

mobile data

 

when I go into location services and the apps that are using my location sky go isn't listed
