My iPad is very much connected to the internet (I am a sky broadband customer) but I cannot watch sky through sky go as the following message is displayed
"sorry something went wrong
to enjoy this service , you need an active internet connection. Please check your settings and try again"

Delete the Sky Go app, disable the Wifi connection then reboot your device. Turn on the Wifi connection again and install the Sky Go app.

I had the same problem, it was an issue with the Vodafone wifi. Having rebooted the router the Sky Go now works over wifi.

I have a number of devices that this issue has recently occurred on. I am no longer with sky for broadband. The first thing I checked once my new community fibre was installed was if I could download and stream from Sky go. It worked perfectly. This weekend I noticed the error in iPad and Mac Book pro. My android phone works fine. I called sky and we do the same rigmarole of reinstalling app ect and it didn't work. The only way I could get it to work is over 5g network from SIM. Or tethering from mobile phone network (tethering using WiFi doesn't work). The agent speculated that maybe I was using a VPN. I have no VPN running.
I believe that sky have made changes to the app that block certain WiFi signals. I have tried many different things with my router settings to no avail.
Another thing to note is that this happens too with nowt in my house when using the WiFi.
I have contacted community fibre and await their response and will get back on to sky once I get time.
Using mobile data is ok, but it is a very annoying situation that I have been looking all over the internet to resolve.

Hi, I have had the same issue for a week or so.
Community Fibre were extremely helpful. The said the following "This was a CGNAT issue with the ip.
Skygo app after picking the ip from the router was thinking that you are outside UK."
They did something with the IP address and the router reset and I could finally get on to Sky go over WiFi!
