I cannot watch my sky sports on the sky go app when I'm not at home, it says I need to subscribe to sports package! I am subscribed and have been for a number of years, I've tried logging out and then in again but to no avail. Is this because I'm on Sky Glass and not compatible with Sky Go?

My stepson had the same issue a while back and I believe it was Stream related but I don't actually know if he got it sorted or not, nor how it was sorted if he did. Just for reference as a Sky Q punter I have never ever had any issues accessing Sky Go on my phone or iPad whilst away from home.
When he said he was consisdering Sky Glass about 18 months ago 'I know best' me strongly advised him against it. As a proud dinosaur who's still fully against the concept of being totally reliant on streaming to watch Sky I tried my best to convince him to grab Q whilst he still could.
I also reminded him of how much he always ogled the picture quality of our OLED whenever round and that he wouldn't be getting anything even close to that on a Sky Glass LCD unit. I suspect he chose the 'cheaper' option of not forking out for a new TV separately and thus went through with it.
Thus the instant regret was etched all over his face from the moment he told me about the issue and I gave him that look 🤨 funnily enough he's never mentioned it since so I don't know what came of it, although I have just called him to try and find but he didn't answer.

Thanks for your reply, I too regret moving from Sky Q to Sky Glass, I never had any issues with Sky Go whilst on Sky Q and my previous TV unit was far superior to the Glass unit which doesn't have Bluetooth which I miss greatly.

No need to thank me please but of course you're more than welcome nonetheless mate.
I have spoken to him now and he said that sometimes his Sky Go works and sometimes it don't, he used the term 'pot luck' to describe it. As he's in the building game he tends to work local and drives to the jobs so he doesn't have much need for Sky Go.
He said that's why he's never pursued a proper fix from Customer Service 🙄 I put it down to him being a bit of a stoner myself, but whatever the actual reason for his lack of motivation I'm unable to give you any definitive advice I'm sorry to say.
It's really interesting to hear you say you regret ditching Q and that you don't rate the actual Sky Glass telly either as you're very much in the minority round this parish. The adopters in here are as much zealots for Glass and/or Stream as I am about keeping Q for as long as I can and consuming it on an OLED TV rather than an LCD screen.
In fact I've really got to applaud you for it, fair play geezer as I am not sure if I've seen anyone else say that. Blimey I can already hear some of them chuntering away, spitting their Sunday Roasts out in disgust, at the mere mention of Q being more reliable 😆
