Re: Sky Go and MacOS 27.2 beta - Not working again!!

I'm running MacBook Air  1.2Ghz Quad Core Intel Core i7, Sequoia 15.8.1  Up until the end of F1 qualifying Sky Go has run perfectly.

Now it has stopped working, I have followed all of the instructions to delete / remove the app, clear the bin, restart and  reinstall without success.

Help please

Re: Sky Go not loading on my Mac

I'm having the same problems too since 2/410/26 on the same OS for an M2 Macbook Air - followed the advice from the forum here, but that hasn't worked.

Also copy/pasted the error code into Gemini & tried ALL the suggestions from there (deleting preferences & clean reinstall, changing system preferences, etc) with no luck either.

Re: Sky Go not loading on my Mac

Typo - same problems since 24/10/26, not 2/410/26

Re: SkyGo - How about an update?

Given I have deliberately disabled any and all Mac Updates so I can run a stable OS that allows all the programmes to run without having to worry how an OS update could suddenly cause issues, I would suggest this is a Sky problem.  And I think most mac users experiencing pretty much the same problem would agree.

Re: SkyGo crashing immediately

Doing some research, it seems Sky have moved forward with thier app to only work on Silicon (post 2023) Mac's, no app for pre 2023 Macs on Intel.

Apple pulled support for Intel Macs earlier this year.

many other companies changed thier apps to work dual Intel / Silicon, but Sky just out two fingers up to pre 2023 Mac users and moved forward, no more Sky Go for Intel Macs

Re: Sky Go not loading on my Mac

Same problem here. I'm using Sequoia 15.8.1 on a 2019 Intel iMac, and as the OP says, Sky Gp will not open. The icon bounces in the dock but then  crashes almost immediately. Tried following the uninstall/restart/reinstall process (deleting all existing Sky Go folders) but it still just crashes when you attempt to open. Anyone had any luck with fixing this?

Re: Sky Go and MacOS 27.2 beta - Not working again!!

That wouldn't even bother me that much if Sky just turned off the auto update feature when running the App on MacOS - then I could just use a stable intel mac version and that doesn't try to update.  Sky could just have a final app version that they know runs on intel macs they offer separately.... y'know, like almost every other tech firm that I know of does(!!)  These intel mac machines can and will run for years if not decades, would be nice to still use the software as we have done for years.

Re: Sky Go will stop working with Mac Computers if we update to MacOS 27

I noticed this as well. I deleted the app and then started my Mac in safemode reinstalled the app, it worked and I got logged in. restarted the Mac as normal and Sky Go is now running well.

Re: Sky Go not loading on my Mac

I am having the same problem on Macbook Air 2020 with Intel chip. I sorted this problem out on my mum's laptop a few years ago installing with Rosetta, but I have an Intel chip. I updated to Sequoia 15.8.1 today. I have followed all the instructions to delete folders, create new users, reset memories etc and still it fails. It bounces and then I get the following

plus pages more. It really is time that SKY come up with a solution. Fortunately, I can still watch the football via HBO Max and Sky Sports website, but seriously SKY - what am I paying my subscription for? If anyone can help, I would be eternally grateful.

Can’t access Sky Go

Tried multiple times to log in to Sky Go App but same technical issue messages pops up. Any ideas how to overcome this?

Re: Sky Go not loading on my Mac

Exactly the same issue started yesterday on my iMac - clearly a Sky issue to resolve???

Come on Sky - why do I pay big bucks for apps that do not work?

Re: Can’t access Sky Go

I'm having the same problem. It was working fine last night.

I've tried updating the software on my Mac but no effect.

Anyone know if it's an issue occuring today at Sky's end?

Re: SkyGo - How about an update?

If you take any time to read the comments from dozens of users you will see that the issue is widespread across mutliple versions of Mac OS - nothing to do with an 'update'.
