@Bojima same issue here - it took a long time to roll out to me - Windows 10 PC - reinstall cured it .I have informed the Sky Agent who had no knowledge of the program let alone the error, he has escalated the issue.
Watch this space.

Re-installing doesn't work, however If you unplug the main Sky Q box, Sky Go works on PC. If it is plugged in and can be found by the app it shows the error. Has to be a problem with the Update. I get it on all 3 windows units that I use around the house.
Don't really want to unplug the main box every time I want to watch something in another room.

I haven't got a Q box myself but can you not disable the wireless on it ?

This is annoying as hell.
One reinstall cured it, then opening the ap pthe second time has brought this error back.
This is a terrible app !

@SmurfyPops Mines still working but now "buffering" on live TV - workaround is to start recording the live stream and then play it from that recording (see my post elsewhere).
Nothing from the Tech Team though?

After much trial and error I think I have found a solution, at least for me. The one that worked for me was to create a new outbound rule in my firewall and tell it to block all UDP connections for the Sky Go app. I tried several variations for both TCP and UDP inbound and outbound and this was the only one that worked. Hope this helps someone.

Thanks Ryan.
Thats working for me, however, I can't connect to my Sky Q box to watch any recordings.
Doyou have any wizardry to get round that? I'm guessing some port needs opened.
Cheers

No problem glad it worked for you. And unfortunately I haven't found a way to get round that yet as it seems sky go connecting to the sky q box is what's causing the issue.

@ryanm1991 OK mate, no problem.

@ryanm1991Good effort but unfortunately it didn't work in my case.
Thanks for trying though.

This error seems to occur if you're trying to watch the same channel via the App that the main Sky Q box is showing.
I tried a few different options and this seems to be the cause so if you are getting this error message, make sure you're not tuned into the channel on Sky Q that you're trying to watch on your device.
Hope it works for everyone else.

Yes this error doesn't alwys happen but seems to be a problem with Shy Go app connecting to the Sky Q box, as whe you turn off the box the error goes away, turned the box back on and the error hasn't reappeared - for no at least!
