Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
I have an intermittent fault with my Sky Glass. A grey vertical band appears. I have phoned Sky and it does go after rebooting , but I don't think I should have to go through this inconvenience. It's only 12 months old.
any one else gone through this ?

Re: Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
Many, many people have gone through this.
The vertical line issue has been ongoing since Sky Glass launched 4 years ago and affects both generations of the TV.
Sky seem unable to find a permanent fix for it, it just seems to be a random software glitch. As you say, it can be cured temporarily by rebooting the TV.
If you feel that this is stopping you enjoying the TV or you feel that it is poor for such an expensive TV to be doing this then you'll need to call Sky to let them know, or lodge a formal complaint.

Re: Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
Hi @Debbie99 I had something similar on a Glass TV a couple of years ago. A normal reboot didn't help so I left the TV unplugged overnight and the line disappeared and luckily in my case it never came back.
Give it a try but if it doesn't resolve the issue or if it keeps coming back you should call Sky for additional troubleshooting and if necessary a replacement TV (I see you are still well within the 24 months warranty period.)
If my post (or any other) has solved your issue please mark as an "Answer" as it helps others identify the solution

Re: Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
Lines, flickering, dead spots shouldn't happen if they do then there is an obvious issue whether software or hardware.
Email Sky with your problem, get it in writing now so at least you will have a history trail should you need to take it further.
A power off as @Fothergill1 suggests can resolve issues but.....

Re: Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
I have had the same issue on the 3 tv s they have sent me outand Sky keep telling me it's my broadband.
i have since changed my fibre broadband provider and the issue was still there.
sky told me to go back to sky q.
however in it the bullet and bought a new tv plugged in of
my picks into the new tv and surprise surprise no lines.
son definetly an issue with The Sky glass and now stuck paying for the next 3 years for a tv that's nothing more than substandard
apparently can tdonanything under the warranty as they can't see anything wrong.
i was also told by one advisor that the lines are supposed to be there on a £1k tv!

Re: Vertical line through Sky Glass Screen
@Phantom3I suggest that you keep raising the issues with Sky, and if no resolution escalate the complaint as high as possible.
UK consumer law states that goods should be fit for purpose and if yours is not, keep the evidence of correspondence, pictures etc to make your case. You don't say how old your Sky is, but I would expect a minimum of 4 years on a £1K TV.
Just out of interest... do you still get a vertical line if the Glass is used as a monitor with say a Roku or Firestick in an HDMI port? If so, that really sucks 😱
Now TV Sports + Entertainment + Cinema + Ultra Boost @ £33 pm
2 x FTTP lines: Digi £15 pm 900/900 & Aquiss £36pm 80/20
Connected in dual WAN to 3 x Asus XT9 mesh & 2 x Asus RT-AC58U
65" Samsung S92C OLED TV
6 other streaming TVs
