Sound issues sky glass 2
Hi hope someone can help with this issue. I've had the sky glass gen 2 for a couple of months now and while I think the picture quality is great I wasn't too impressed with the sound from the tv, I thought is was pretty tinny and even with the bass boost on it doesn't make much of a differance. So decided to keep the soundbar I was using with my old tv. The soundbar is a Samsung HW-Q800T with a Bluetooth sub woofer and is connected to the HDMI 2 (eARC) socket via an 8k ultra high speed HDMI cable. The sound is excellent but occasionally the tv automatically switches to the tv speakers for about 30 seconds then goes back to the soundbar and the sound disappears between the switching. This is really frustrating and spoiling our viewing. This is happening on every channel and app that I have used so far. Any help on this would be really appreciated 👍

Re: Sound issues sky glass 2
I have Homepods connected via my Apple TV and using ghese via Glass was a nightmare from failed connectivity to lipsync issues.
So I purchased an Ultimea Skywave 70 7.1 channel (quite impressive for the money). When it works via earc the sound is immerserve no lipsync issues but it does drop the earc connectivity and refers back to the internal tv speakers.
I think there is an issue with the earc connectivity with the Glass, not a game changer but annoying.

Re: Sound issues sky glass 2
Hi thanks for getting in touch. The sound from the soundbar is excellent when the connection is working and I agree it is more annoying than anything. I'm going to try an audio extractor switch to connect the tv to the soundbar via the optical port to see if it makes any difference.

Perhaps be aware that optical output is distinctly more limited in the audio formats which it can carry.

Re: Sound issues sky glass 2
I have to say, the sound on my 65" Gen 2 is excellent, no complaints at all.
