Sky Glass missing cardboard tab

I took delivery of my new Sky Glass TV yesterday and the box seems ok from the outside,

however the cardboard top cardboard locking tap is missing from the right hand side,

does that mean the TV  been opened and used before?

Re: Sky Glass missing cardboard tab

Thanks for your reply's,However when I did open my new tv it all looked fine,

But when I turned it on it had a crack on the screen and as had to be replaced.

personally i believe it's the fault of Sky's push to not using any plastic,it needs to be packaged better with polystyrene,

The plants not benefited in any way from throwing this tv away, doubt it will be repaired ????????

Difficult to say. You're best off opening it and checking the TV itself. If it has any sign of wear and tear then get straight on to Sky. You're paying for a brand new TV, not a refurb or someone's returned set.

Re: Sky Glass missing cardboard tab

Most likely a cutout to make it easier to carry the TV when it is boxed.

That's not going to happen: it was part of the design brief and now built into the manufacturing and logistics pathway.
