Sky Glass Screen

Anyone else screen starting to get dark faded marks on the screen, visible when light colours on screen

This is probably what's known as DSE or Dirty Screen Effect. It's a symptom of poor backlight control on an LCD TV. Most cheaper LED backlit or edge-lit LCD TVs can suffer from it, and Glass is no exception. 

Try and take some pictures of it at its worst and contact Sky. If your TV is still under warranty then you may be able to get a replacement.

  • Happened to my gen 2 after a year, no repair possible. Sky says i have to buy a new one. Thats sky for ya!

After a year? G2 was only release last February!

 

You get a 2 year warranty with them. I'd be making a complaint and pushing for a replacement under warranty.

Because i got this off a friend and changed accounts, nope! It automatically ends all warranty and care. So keep your account the same lmao
