So.... the saga of delivery, refusing to fit to wall (due to postcode) and continuing complaint with SKY.
Upon delivery, company delivered box for TV, then they went back to the van for box which had TV bracket in. Scanned tv, and bracket box and then removed TV from box to take photo. I had wanted to upgrade so they could fit onto the wall, but the company refuse in my area: the houses are made of stone (the TV was going on a plasterboard wall, in a modern extension, but still refused).
Hired a man that can with a van, cost a lot more than SKY had guaranteed the delivery company would charge. Chap arrives, and asks for the fixing box, states it's usually a third box as fixings are not held in box that the wall bracket comes in. The chaps only brought two boxes into the house: they have sat in the same place for over a week since delivery waiting to be put up on wall.
Needless to say, we bought another bracket, and finally managed to get the chap to put it on the wall. BUT, at great cost to us... my question is, has anyone else experienced this, and given that I have a complaint outstanding with SKY due to POS issue which is being investigated, should they now pay for fitting and wall bracket.
I'm not an unreasonable chap - and given that even the complaints officer said 'I can't quite believe the SAGA you have gone through, we are going to have to listen to the calls', should I push for SKY to pay for the bracket and the fitting? The customer service has been atrocious tbf, to the extent, I almost refused delivery.
