Re: Sky Glass 2.0 Launch Details
Slightly off topic as this post is hot. Anyone know why sky store has removed all uhd content? You can't even rent uhd anymore. I know the sending out dvds has stopped to🤔

Don't believe everything you see on an influencer's social media account 😀

@peter-marlow+1966 It hasn't been. There are just some issues with being able to order it when you order a Gen 2 Sky Glass, which Sky are working on.

Think these rumours stem from a YouTube channel that has twice said that they ve been told its been discontinued.
I've plugged my live camera into my gen 2 and it's installed and working fine.
@peter-marlow+1966 are you getting the gen 2 ?
43inch Gen 1 and 55 inch Gen 2 Sky Glass & sky live camera 3 Pucks. Virgin media M500 on hub 5x. Four sky mobile sims.

Re: Sky live camera
Yeah it looks a little strange, I've been hearing the same thing. Even the advert on sky website for skyglass there is no mention of the sky live feature either. OK there might be a bug when ordering, but why no advert for it🤔

Re: Sky live camera
If you allready got one then yes it should work. But people can't find anywhere to buy one except Ebay etc. Bit like if you got a sky soundbar it still works but can't buy them anymore. Not even advertised as a feature anymore unless I've missed it somewhere.

Re: Sky Glass 2.0 Launch Details
I think most of this Sky Live speculation (mine included) comes from the fact that Sky have completely removed all mention of it from their website. That's a very odd thing to do for a supposed active product. Yes, it's fully compatible with Glass Gen2, there's no reason why it shouldn't be, but to suddenly stop even mentioning it anywhere on their site is strange.
The only mention of it is on Sky's corporate site, and that's just the info from the launch in 2023.
Perhaps they planned to do some form of re-launch with Glass Gen2, or maybe the Live camera itself is getting some form of upgrade too and they couldn't get it ready in time? Maybe they're holding Sky Live Gen2 back for the release of Glass Air. The current Live model is very much designed for the chunkier frame of Glass Gen1 & Gen2, so they potentially wouldn't be able to sell it with Glass Air as there wouldn't be a thick enough frame for it to clip onto.

Re: Sky Glass 2.0 Launch Details
Yes its what i found strange too, no mention of it on their site🤔 the rumours will escalate if sky don't officially say anything. Plus if your new to glass and go straight to gen 2 and unable to buy the camera for your glass then that's pretty poor for 1st time buyers too.

Re: Sky Glass 2.0 Launch Details
So you need to wait for your gen 2 to arrive, set it up then you get the chance to order sky live🤔. When I bought gen 1 you could order the 2 together.
