Moving back from Sky Glass...

Hiya,

Has anybody tried or have moved back from Sky Glass back to Sky Q?

I have sky glass and it keeps dropping the Internet and have to keep resetting the WIFI setting on the Glass. Its not practical to run a Ethernet cable from the router to the TV. Its not the router that's losing the internet as devices connected and still working. it gets frustrating when watching something live then the TV just stops.

Or if someone has possible solutions to this problem that i could try?

Thanks

Have you thought about trying power line adaptors as an alternative to an ethernet cable solution?

My set doesn't do that ..... could be your actual router ..... or the glass unit may be faulty. You could also try buying a mesh router and replacing your router or ask your isp for a replacement router (powerline adapters are probably the cheapest method as @Mark39 @suggested )

I picked up a set of power lines for £10 on marketplace...... they don't need to be top of the range as the glass tv only has a 100mb network card

Re: Moving back from Sky Glass...

@Jporch316   cant say its the router, as everthing else stays connected to all other devices. ive got Virgin Media, got a free router upgrade when i had internet issues not so long ago.

Ive spoken to the tech team with a few things to try 1st.

If you think it is the tv I can escalate your post to the online sky community support team ......
