MISLEADING FALSE INFORMATION
On the 20th of November I signed over to sky from virgin media I signed up for 65" sky glass sea green, a wall bracket , sky cinema &broadband. I was assured my social welfare card with my name &picture was enough ID as I could use my camera phone to verify. The man took 138.00 off me and i was given the 2nd of December for my broadband connection that was completed on the 2nd of December and i brought my 3 children to school while they completed their work. I arrived home and it was not working??? No internet connection. Rang sky the next day the 3rd of December and the man on the phone told me it would be resolved the 4th of December from 8-12pm ,while on the phone I received a message saying I was booked in for the 9th of December the afternoon slot ,I said this to the man and he said no it would be resolved tomorrow that was just an automatic text?? I told him i was a single mam with no TV or broadband with 3 children and the Toy Show was on that Friday which if you have children and are reading this you understand it's a HUGE deal in Ireland and asked again would it be okay to verify with my social welfare card he reassured me this would be okay again as when i logged onto the app it said it was drivers license and passport but I took his knowledge of working for sky as gospel. Bare in mind it is 2 weeks before Christmas I'm a single mam and my TV is broke is the reason i joined sky after seeing this deal for the TV & glass. So, the next day 5th nothing??? So I left it which i shouldn't have but i knew his information was misleading and it wouldn't help as id be told i got the conformation message of the 9th .
So then the 8th of December still no broadband and I receive a message about verifying my ID tried to use my social welfare card and it wouldn't work??? After being told twice it would??
I rang sky they told me no it wouldnt they would have to cancel the order or if someone else lived in the house with a drivers licence or passport i could put it in their name I told them a number of times that i am single mother there employer took 134.00 from me after telling me i could use my social welfare card and then another employer told me the same thing that the TV was on the way no need to worry. I am highly annoyed and am going to proceed to go further with this matter and I feel i was completely mis lead and is fraud. I will also be posting this on social media and repeating to everyone i meet. Also I was told it would be 72hours before a manger rings me back??what a joke im still waiting ..
I am disgusted . Ive no TV 2 weeks before christmas A SINGLE MOTHER OF 3 CHILDREN!!

For clarity:
Errors are not 'fraud', and it's generally unwise to spread such allegations.
Broadband provisioning is separate to Glass television delivery, and happens on a different timescale.
It's unclear what the 'verification' relates too, but if it's a condition of releasing a loan then the conditions do tend to be inflexible.
