GlassTV won’t start plus won’t accept PIN

I've seen related posts eg Molly87.  TV would not start.  Rebooted via power off and standby option.  After each you go through the set up options and arrive at PIN.  Used same PIN as original set up (one month ago).  Not recognised.  Used forgot PIN option and the page freezes after confirming new PIN.  Called Sky and they have had to escalate.   May take 48hrs.  Currently waiting nearly 24hrs.  Fairly obviously a software issue at their end, which you'd have thought they could fix via an on line reset of PIN.  Very frustrated given the amount we pay for this service.

When you get to the pin screen pull the plug on your glass then plug it back in. When you go through the setup again it should skip the pin input screen 

 

just a note that it's not recommended to master restore sky glass without being prompted to do so by a CS agent as it can unlink your tv from your account.

Thanks for trying to help, it's appreciated.  Switching off the power when prompted for PIN or when prompted to choose a new PIN returns you to the You're now connected prompt (which is after the point at which you have been associated with your account and before you are asked for your PIN).  So, unfortunately this hack didn't work for me.

My apologies.  It did work.  Having pressed continue and progressing to the next PIN prompt the system had remembered the last change to PIN I had made.  Who'd have thought?!  Thanks again.
