Can't pause or skip on ITVX

We have The Masked Singer on from ITVX at the moment, and cannot pause or skip forward or backwards,only go back to the start.

We used to be able to do these things, has there been a change to ITVX?

To fast forward  you need to pay for the premium  itvx £5.00 a month

@custardchris  Yes subscribing to Sky's ad skipping should cover ITVX (it certainly does in my case).  I suspect you have a software glitch so a reboot/restart may be all it needs.

To do this go to Settings > System Management > Resets & Updates > Restart device (do not do a factory reset).  It takes about 3 minutes to completely reboot. You will have a blank screen for a couple of minutes before the Sky logo appears so don’t worry when this happens as it is normal.

It seems to be the watch from start on something that is currently live that I can't pause.

Have done the reset above, doesn't make any difference.

4. Go to Resets and Updates
5. Press Select
6. Go to Restart Device
7. Press Select.

Note this will take a few minutes to reboot, so expect to see a blank screen for 2 minutes until the Sky logo appears as its starting up.

For total AD free no skipping and additional content you could subscribe to itvx premium.  I pay £3.99 through Google apps though I have seen it advertised at £5.99 in places.

I have the same problem.I have pressed restart on a programme.I cant pause fast forward ,and have lost subtitles.

I pay for itvx premium.All other apps ok

I watch Emmerdale and Coronation Street on ITVX daily and I've also found at the very start of the program. Sometimes it will not let you skip the ads even though I pay for ad skipping (and it then skipped ads when the next ad break) 

I have tried clearing the app Cache with that code (can't remember it at the top of my head), even tried refreshing the apps via Settings. 

it's always these little things that add up that makes sky glass just more frustrating and enjoyable

I do not daily watch those programmes, but do watch a handful of ITVX programme series during the week without issue, launched from my playlist.

If it's just a few programmes you are having an issue with.

Would suggest your best bet to get this checked by Sky is to send an email to the Sky Viewer relations team to report it with times and dates, live or from playlist link along with the programme name

They can pass on information also to third parties, if the fix lies with either Sky or ITV or both.
They do respond to emails with any updates for your queries or problems.

Actually i've noticed ad-skipping on ITV X being a little bit problematic recently.

It seems to have started since they added the "number of ads and countdown timer" to the app, similar to what the other streamers have.

What i've noticed is that the fast forwarding through the ads normally works for the first couple of seconds of ads ( particularly if they are the programme sponsorship ads) but if you are a bit slower on the button, the fast forward then stops working and is forcing you to watch the rest of the ads during the break.
