Ad skipping not working

My ad skipping has stopped working.

I have tried to reboot and checked the add-on is still active.

Is there anything else I can do?

Is it any particular show or app you are seeing it not working on?

Just noticed it on Sky Witness 

I haven't got recordings on other channels 

It's working on all the apps

When you say not working what exactly do you mean? Is it just the skip ads button isn't displaying, or that fast forwarding isn't working?

Hi @MarkGoldsmith  FYI, I have noticed that the skip ads button is a bit temperamental on Sky Witness lately.  If it doesn't appear I just use the voice control on my remote.

Sorry, I should have clarified, it's not showing at all... FF works, but I'm just annoyed that we're paying for a add-on that's not working. 

Maybe I should cancel it and add it on again?

You can use the voice control to say " fast forward x minutes" and it will just jump ahead.

Ah that explains why i haven't seen the issue, as usually most of the Sky Witness shows i'm watching on-demand are the UHD versions, which already have the ads removed.

We're seeing something similar... tonight it was on an ITV catch up programme but it's happened a few times now. Hopefully it doesn't continue as it makes paying for ad skipping a bit pointless.

When we press the button to skip them, nothing happens. At first we thought we might be watching something on Netflix but no.

That's a bug with the iTV X app. I started noticing it at around the same time the little ad countdown timer got added to the app.

Last couple of weeks, I've been noticing it more with ITV programs as well. I watched daily episodes of Emmerdale and Coronation Street, Sometimes you can skip ads on one of the programs, but then you go to watch the other program and you can't fast forward or skip the intro. I can't remember the last time I was able to skip the ads or intro for both programs straight after each other
