3 glass gen 2. All broken

Im fairly certain backlights can burn, maybe not the burn in that happens with images on oled panels, creating pixel by pixel differences, this is on the grid of backlights. Sorry if i used the wrong terminology. The lenses the lights shine through along with the diffusing film over the top can get burnt.

Unfortunately that's correct outside the two year warranty: within that time Sky replaces the hardware.

Realistically the economics of repairing television sets really doesn't work for anything other than extremely expensive (£2K+) models.

I will stay away from sky for sure, the economics dont come into it, especially when they sell refurbished models. They could repair if they wanted to they just wont. These tvs are cheaper lcds with cheaper backlight. Seems like theyre all ticking time bombs judging by all of the reviews.

Sorry to say but its the lottery with all of these sky devices, if its lasted this long its probably all good. No quality control with their displays
