Sky Uk made 2.2 BILLION pounds PROFIT ! in 2019. Appreciate we are 4 years down the line, but I doubt very much if the profits are even now less than 2 billion from the Uk operation. Sky UK customers are paying the price for poor performance in Germany and Italy

Sky UK and Sky Ireland are separate divisions within Sky Group
Sky Ireland has a separate website to Sky UK
Sky Ireland (Republic of Ireland)
Head Office Level 4 Burlington Plaza 1, Burlington Road, Dublin 4.
Sky Ireland has to do separate carrier supply agreements with channel broadcasters
This is why channels provided is different between UK and Republic of Ireland
This also why Sky Glass in Ireland was launched in August 2022 and not same time as UK October 2021
Sky Studios was previously Sky Vision

They also didn't factor in a European war (somewhat significant when purchasing a European company), fuel prices soaring, interest rate rises, inflation and a cost of living crisis all causing subscribers, including those in the UK, to question the value of their product...

Do you not understand Sky Ireland has to do separate carrier supply agreements for providing channels in Republic of Ireland

@Paul+Boland Do you not understand that when sky UK negoatiates programming rights it does so for the Uk and Rep of Ireland. Not just the UK

Sky Ireland does separate carrier supply agrements to UK in regards to the non sky Channels
It's Sky Ireland that does supply deal agreements with BBC/Channel 4/Virgin Media etc and also with Premier Sports/Viaplay Sports and other channels broadcaster that are not Sky own brand channels
This is why Republic get channels that UK don't get and UK get channels that Republic don't get
The supply of third party channels are done separately in regards UK and Republic of Ireland

@Paul+Boland And so what?

If the dreadful skip ads does not improve and sky doesn't reduce the amount of ads when my subs are up i'm off. There's better out there now.
Skip ads on sky controlled programs are dreadful however on other channels skip ads work well. Sky need to buck there act up
