Unable to order Sky Glass!
Well I've just spent the last hour trying to place an order for Sky Glass, It seems they don't want me to have one!
I've gone through all the details and transfering my current TV packages, I get to the end and authorise the payment with my bank and nothing happens apart from a blank page with a Tab saying "We're Sorry"
I've now given up and will stick with my Sky Q and buy a new telly elsewhere, just liked the idea of an all in one unit as I live in a flat with Communal dish and it can play up at times, anyone else had issues placing and order recently through your online account?

Hi @r0adster If you are a Sky Q (or HD) customer you cannot order / change to Glass or Stream online and you have to call Sky customer services to make the necessary arrangements. Your current Sky Q account needs to be cancelled which will happen when you activate your streaming product.
Unfortunately Sky do not make this clear when you are attempting to order online.

Oh really, during the order it knew I was on Sky Q and that my current TV packages would transfer to Sky Glass at the same cost but with a new 24 month contract for Sports and Variety packs, it also said that it would automatically cancel my Sky Q once Glass was activated, so despite this you're saying it can't be ordered online? Thanks for the info anyway.

You would be so much better buying a half decent 4k TV with an extended warranty and if the Q box is a bit iffy but have reasonable Broadband go for a Now TV subscription...will save you money and possible heartache if you read about problems Sky TV can throw up👍.

@r0adster Yes, unfortunately unless they have changed the procedure in the last couple of months you need to call them. It's nothing new as I had to do it back in June 2022 when I moved from Sky Q to Sky Glass.
If you are planning to purchase the Glass TV on the interest free loan then you will also be subject of a credit check.
