My tv keeps going into start from start of programme then on top of screan it says waiting to load programme then will not return to any progtamme. It will not let my go to settings to switch to HTMY1. this is an intermitant fault that has been happening for a couple of weeks. I can not get any sense of Sky help

Have you checked the broadband connection? You need to make sure that your Glass TV is receiving an absolute minimum of 25Mbps in order to stream programmes successfully.

To find the speed actually being received (not what your router is sending out) you need to open the Netflix app, navigate to the get help menu (top left) and run a network check.

Re: TV keeps loosing programmes

I check my speed every day I am receiving 33Meg.

It is a problem with the tv but I am unable to speak to an actual person. What can I do to have trouble free viewing? I have had the tv for over 3years.

33Mbps is borderline for maintaining a reliable service I'm afraid. Sky Glass needs a constant stable connection in order to function so if any other device in your home uses some of that bandwidth, the speed fluctuation could cause Glass to glitch.

You may need to look into upgrading your broadband if possible. Do some research and see if Sky or any other full fibre providers may be able to offer you a faster speed. If you cannot improve the speed and quality of your connection then you won't have much luck improving your Sky Glass experience I'm afraid.

It's possible that the recent UI update is using more bandwidth than before? Difficult to say really.

Have you rebooted your Glass TV recently? A full reboot by turning off at the wall for a few minutes then powering back on can be helpful in flushing the cache and re-engaging the connection to Sky's server. It's recommended to do this regularly to have the best chance of maintaining a smooth experience.

If, after a reboot, you are still experiencing issues then it may be worth calling Sky for further troubleshooting. If they diagnose a hardware issue then unfortunately you'll need to pay for a repair or replacement due to the TV being out of warranty.

Agreed - seen a few posts recently with users experiencing issues after the UI update with borderline speeds ..... maybe it will settle down
