Re: Synology Nas box on sky glass
@Simon_m74 Glass can only take devices over HDMI inputs, NAS drives don't normally have these so you can't use Glass to view video content for exanmple from a NAS.

Re: Synology Nas box on sky glass
Sky Glass has no media player on the Entertainment OS. The only way to play video files from an external drive is by connecting the drive to something like a BluRay player which is then connected to the Glass TV via HDMI. Most BluRay players will play video files from USB connected devices.

Presumably any device which can host Plex and has HDMI output could be used.

Re: Synology Nas box on sky glass
I`m working on setting up a mini PC to sit next to my NAS, then use that using a wireless mouse/keyboard thing to play on VLC or something while mirroring to Glass.
I`ve already tested on HDMI 3 on `use older settings` and I can mirror my mini PC / laptop ok.

You can't mirror cast to Glass

Re: Synology Nas box on sky glass
I advise on your Synology nas, or whatever other nas you guye are using, you get and set up Plex or VideoStation. Then get a firestick, as firesticks have both Plex and DSVideo software...

Re: Synology Nas box on sky glass
I`ll make my solution clearer.
I have a micro/mini PC that is plugged on my network, so it can access the folder on the NAS that has my media. This PC is connected to Glass via HDMI 3.
So when I want to use it, I boot the mini PC up, go to HDMI 3 on the Glass, and then I have a wireless controller for the PC, so I use that like a `tv remove`, to select what I want to watch.
