Stuck on update

Got up today tv was playing up as it has been since feb, did a factory reset and now it's stuck on updating software

If your Sky Glass TV is stuck on the "Updating software" screen during the recovery process, try unplugging the TV for 10 minutes, then plugging it back in. If that doesn't work, hold the standby button while plugging it back in; the LED lights should flash, indicating the TV is in recovery mode. If the flashing light doesn't appear, you may need to contact Sky @mick2562

Just for future reference.

Sky do not recommend performing a factory reset, unless Sky themselves have asked you to perform it and that you are on a call with Sky while performing the factory reset.

It can cause some ongoing account issues.

Try and plug an ethernet cable in direct to the router and run from the beginning of the setup again

It's already on cable and not WiFi, I'm sick of this tv now been a pile of junk since February with all these updates yet sky wont refund a penny

Then pull the cable and try it on WiFi .....

Ok, I was going to escalate your post to Sky but as your not home, there's no point. You will need to phone Sky directly when you get home @mick2562 Best of luck.

I had the same problem back in February 2022 ended up  getting  a  replacement  under warranty, you will need to call sky about this
