Plugged my s23 ultra into the sky glass with hdmi cable, i have my phone on the screen and plays video but sound comes out off the phone not the sky glass tv

That's probably because the USB C to HDMI lead is only carrying Video and not Audio. You need to change a setting in the phone. You can Google how to do this

Ao how do i sort this, my mate used same cable on his sky glass and work fine

It's a setting on the phone that needs changing. You'll find how to do it via a Google search
