Posted by a Superuser, not a Sky employee. Find out moreAre you connected via Wifi and if so have you tried connecting via ethernet and not WiFi ( and disabling Wifi in the puck's network settings)?
The issue could easily be the strength of your WiFi network.

This happens to me all the time when watching F1........annoying, but looking at the comments below this is an issue SKY won't fix, so easy decision, remove the packages and watch elsewhere........not paying for poor service, simple.

Hi, I've been tring to watch live football on Sky but it keeps buffering and trying to get me to watch the programme from the start. I've tried rebooting and checked for any broadband issues but there are none. Any ideas please?

Had the same myself. Also same with sky F1 channel. Ruined my afternoon of watching sport. Thank you sky glass.

I have exactly the same issues with live football streaming. I've tried using an ethernet cable to take the WiFi signal out of the equation, but this made no difference. If I check my connection using Netflix whilst I'm getting the issues with the sports I see that my connection speed (when using WiFi) is 59Mbps, so plenty good enough. Also, the fact that as soon as the actual match stops the problem goes away seems to suggest a bandwidth problem on Sky's side to me. This is infuriating and seems to be continuously covered up by the usual "It's your internet or Wifi connection" answer. Switching to Netflix and streaming a 4k movie (whilst sports is buffering) works flawlessly so I don't think the problem is mine.
