Sky glass
Hi. I can't decided between a sky glass or a normal TV. Advantages and disadvantages please. Thank you in advance.

Re: Sky glass
Glass is now more than three years old but still retails at launch pricing which is basically unheard of in the television market.
It's absolutely not a normal smart television set, and has distinctly limited functionality without a Sky content subscription.
Audio is somewhat better than average (at least at time of launch) and the credit term is generous, albeit on a very high price.
Generally we suggest considering Glass if you really like the aesthetic, otherwise look at a Stream puck with the television set of your choice.
BT Halo 3+ Ultrafast FTTP (500Mbs), BT Smart Hub 2

Re: Sky glass
@moonblue I originally purchased a 55inch Glass TV in July 2022 as at that time you could not have a stream puck on its own. A year ago I took advantage of the Samsung Black Friday deals and bought a 65 inch Smart TV with soundbar and moved to a Stream puck. For me this was a great decision and have never regretted it for a moment.
The second hand value of a Glass TV is generally very poor.

Re: Sky glass
Advantages: All in one convenience, Sky built-in (as long as you have an active TV subscription), ok but not great picture for the price, pretty good sound for the price. TV comes in range of colours.
Disadvantages: underwhelming TV without a Sky subscription. Better picture can be had for the same price with. Sky Stream puck.
All in one convenience & fuskey pink TV matching bedroom colours trumped all other concerns for my wife. Great second TV for us (downstairs has a Sky Stream puck wired into a full AV Atmos system)
