Sky glass wknt turn on

We have a sky glass TV but we run sky q through it , every morning the sky glass TV won't turn on you press the on button on the remote and the red light go's from solid to slow flash you then have to turn off the TV at the socket and plug it back in again to restart this is really annoying I've reposted as my last post was extremely badly written thanks in advance for any help

Hi all,

My sky glass is on stand by all the time but over the last 2 weeks when I go to turn it on via the remote it will not come on, I have to unplug it and plug it back in then it turns on no problem. Can anyone help?

If that works the issue could be the remote:

Check the batteries
An easy way to check is to cover the buttons slightly on your Sky remote with your hand. You should see a white backlight behind the buttons. If you don't see the backlight the issue is the power with the remote, so potentially a battery issue.

Check the battery compartment to make sure the paper used to protect the battery has been fully removed. It might have ripped when being removed leaving some behind.

Still can't see the backlight? It’s likely you need to replace the two AAA batteries.

Pair the remote

Press 7 and 9 together on your Sky remote for three seconds (This resets/clears the remote)
Press 1 and 3 together for three seconds (bluetooth mode) and follow any on-screen instructions.

The next option sounds insane but a number of users have reported it resolving the issue with their remotes. You could try holding the remote at both ends and giving it a gentle twist as though you were wringing out a towel. It

If you have an old Sky Q remote, you can use that as an interim solution whilst you await the new remote.

@LISAR696969 i find the most reliable and quickest way to switch on my Sky Glass is to change the settings in the Start Up and Standby to disable the power saving option and to enable the stay networked in standby option. I also always use the Home button rather than to power button as that is a toggle so its easy to turn the TV off while waiting for it to start if you are impatient.
